"In every way, I have shown you that by hard work of that sort we must help the weak, and keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus who himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35 St. John Neumann's Mission Sandwich Ministry is back. Karen Lynn O'Brien coordinates the monthly sandwich making. This group makes around 500-600 sandwiches that are dropped off at Crossroads Mission to help with a meal in the cafeteria or are packed as to-go meals for the homeless population who are just passing through. The first of many more acts of kindness to make sandwiches is scheduled for September 14th at 8:00 am in the Friel Centre's kitchen. Karen will need about 18 volunteers. If you are interested in helping out as a one-time or regular monthly volunteer for this worthwhile act of kindness, please contact Karen Lynn O'Brien at (425) 239-0209. If you are not able to physically help but still wish to help with a monetary donation, you may drop off a donation in the Parish Office. Make checks payable to St. John Neumann Church with "Mission Sandwich Fund" written on the memo line. You are all greatly appreciated for all that you do to contribute to the St. John Neumann Community and our outreach to the Yuma Community.
